I Regret

This quote, from Ron Burgundy, represents the world in which we live in today. Whether it be choosing an insurance company, clothing, a type of car, etc.  The over saturation of choice we have makes it easier for us to regret our decisions. Barry Schwartz talks on "The Paradox of Choice" emphasizes this. Calligraphy has always had a special place in my heart. It's something that takes practice and a lot of time to execute properly. I always strive to produce perfection from other calligraphy I find.  The process of repetitious mark making led me to a parallel with Schwartz's thoughts. A wrong choice causes regret and a "mistake" in calligraphy causes frustration. Frustration, this is a feeling everyone knows too well. I wanted to show how the feeling of frustration can be visualized in the process of writing calligraphy.
