Innovating Air

In this project I focused on planes and how scale, speed, height and other innovating aspects changed airspace throughout time. I used a hand drawn quality to depict how planes/ideas come out of the mind. Every artist at one point or another sketches their ideas. I used a left to right horizontal format to emulate speed and height to organize these inventions. The cloud-like shapes speak to the atmospheric stages in which the planes flew. I also wanted to connect the theory of the Bernoulli principle, which talks on the topic of thrust, drag, gravity and lift. My title is inter-playing with the idea of translucent clouds and shows a light and airy feel due to the space in which clouds and the sky sit. This project has taught me to research key theory's and be experimental with design because my first ideas usually aren't the strongest.
