the Overland park ballroom & Social Club

2015 - 2016

Since opening day, I've had the pleasure to work with and dance at the OPB. From capturing festivities to creating a brand system for the first annual bridal show held in 2016. It's been a blast!

The Best of I Do

August 2016

At the end of my senior year of college I was challenged with creating a brand system for the first annual bridal show at The Overland Park Ballroom, The Best of I Do. I wanted to make a system that aligned with trends on Pinterest, which the anticipated demographic were using to plan the theme of their weddings. I was able to communicate with the client to create an affordable brand system that encompassed their customers as well as the vendors and venue. It was the first professional project I worked on and it opened my eyes to what was to come.

Wedding Venue Photo shoot

Feburary 2016

The Overland Park Ballroom had noticed a decrease in wedding sales during the beginning of 2016. I worked closely with the event coordinator, Carlye Hemphill, to create a preview of how the venue could utilize the junior ballroom for weddings. It allowed for an intimate ceremony with room for around 120 guests at a reasonable price.

OPB Grand Opening

April 2015

I was recruited to film & edit the Grand Opening of The Overland Park Ballroom. Communication and improvisation were the keys to the evening - running from shot to shot, not missing a beat, and solving problems along the way.
